Hi there!
My name is Sarah, I’m the owner of Harness Pet Care. Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up with a sweet beagle named ‘Melby’, and an independent black cat named ‘Binx’. Having both a dog and a cat meant learning the different ways pets show love, comfort, and personality. Over time, I realized how natural it feels for me to connect with animals - I tend to notice the little things, like when a pet is uncomfortable or when they need attention.
My background in visual art has always been about observation, patience, and paying close attention to detail, and I bring that same attentiveness into caring for your pets. Pet sitting is a way for me to share that care, trust, and consistency with others.
The Story So Far
I’ve been looking after pets in one way or another since I was young. Friends of my parents and parents of friends would sometimes call on me to drop in or walk their pets. I kept pet sitting in the background for years and started doing it more formally in 2017 through Rover. What began as a side gig has now become my passion and full-time work - Harness Pet Care is the next step in that journey.
I started this business because I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s hands. I wanted to create a service that feels personal, consistent, and dependable. For me, pet care is about making sure pets feel loved and their parents feel secure while they’re apart.
Right now, it’s just me - so you always know who’s walking through your door and caring for your pets. In the future, I’ll carefully expand by bringing on sitters who share these same values of compassion, reliability, and trust. My hope is that Harness Pet Care can give you peace of mind while giving your pets comfort and consistency.
